Located at Yangzhai in Jinsha Township, the Jindong Movie Theater was built in 1950, using the donation from Chang Hsiang-chuan, the Speaker of Taipei City Council. To prize the officers in Kinmen as well as for honoring the solders.

At that time, for every performance the theater was fill with people, and thus turn the adjacent district of Yanzhai into a prosperous shopping street, including barber shops, billiard rooms and bathhouses. Nowadays, some shops retain their rested iron-made signage and walls printed with names of shops written in oil paint even after the renovation.

Moreover, the Jindong Movie Theater has still remained the style of 1940s. The buildings are built with bricks and cement. Inside the buildings, wooden counter and chairs have plenty of scrapes. Besides that, a red wall with the words "What Are We Fighting For" painted in white bears a witness to a vivid period in history.
