It has been 60 years since the establishment of Kinmen County Livestock Research Institute. It is a regional animal farming counselling institute that features cute animal area, information center, agriculture classroom, horse stable, Pangola grass field, black angus cattle area, and sika deer area. You can visit the lookout made from an anti-landing fort, or try the dairy products produced by the institute, which include aromatic and delicious ice pops and milk.

Kinmen County Livestock Research Institute endeavors to develop regional animal farming industry as well as promoting the production and selling of “Grass Land” milk. It was established in 1958 as Kinmen Horse Ranch. In 1979, it was renamed “Kinmen County Ranch.” In 1985, its name was changed to Kinmen County Livestock Research Institute. Since 2011, Australia’s Black Anus cattle have been introduced here. The institute has carried out breeding management and promotion and continued to promote “Kinmen distillers-grains fed-beef” regionally.
In recent years, Kinmen County Livestock Research Institute has strived to transform into a regional recreational ranch, which introduces Kinmen’s animal farming industry to tourists and provides outdoor activities. In the future, it will offer special activities for kids and parents, such as feeding rabbits, sika deer, and horses.
